For people who have grown into adults and miss their childhood, their favourite anime film, teaching the Hindu religion's heart, Ramayana is set to delight them once again. Farhan Akhtar released 1993's impeccably appreciatiated film the Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama trailer with a twist. Let's check out.

Actor Farhan Akhtar, who's producing the re-release of an absolutely adored Indo-Japanese anime film in the early 2000s, the Ramayana, unleashed the trailer of the film. The twist, that has gripped a large amount of audience, is the film will hit the screens in 4K. Yes, the childhood favourite of Gen-Z and Millennials will capture the hearts in an upgraded version. Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama trailer, showcased the well-known story of lord Ram and their 14 years of 'Vanvaas'. With original voices regaining their spots, some voices have been replaced. This change has affected a lot of audience and they are demanding the original voices back. 

Fans React to Ramayana's New Trailer

Seeing the legendary anime film coming back to make the audience re-visit the old times of purity, many fans expressed happiness under Farhan Akhtar's Instagram post. However, some commented about the voice change in the new 4K Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama trailer. 

They wrote, "Please Bring back original voiceovers of original actors!" "Yaaaar original voice kyun replace krdi. Amrish Puri’s voice as Raavan was so good!" "Makers should have used the original voiceovers." "Should not have changed the voices!" "Please bring back amrish puri sir's and Arun govil sir's voice over in the theatre we want that back." 

Farhan Akhtar's comment section is filled with people demanding the previous voices in the new version of Ramayana. 

Who Gave The Voice in Ramayana?

As the film Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama was first released in 1993, the craze for Arun Govil as the Ram was crazy. The actor, who is known for playing Rama in the Ramayana Television show, gave his voice for the Anime film as well. Apart from him Namrata Sawhney was the voice of Mata Sita. Late actor Amrish Puri's voice as Raavan captured the hearts of many. Lastly, veteran Shatrughan Sinha narrated the Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama. 

Directed by Indian and Japanese directors, Ram Mohan, Yoga Sako and Koichi Sasaki, this film was first screened at the 24th Film Festival of India, 1993. Now, the film is set to showcase Indian culture in 4K format with dubs in Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu Languages. Farhan Akhtar is co-producing the 2025 version and the film will hit the theaters on 24th January 2025.
