Ayan Mukerji’s directorial venture ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ completed 10 years on Thursday (May 31). The entire star cast of the film had a reunion on this occasion. Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin met each other to celebrate the film completing 10 years. The director of the film was also present on this special occasion and has shared some glimpses of the reunion with the fans through his Instagram handle.

A while back, director Ayan Mukerji took to his Instagram handle to share pictures of the reunion of the entire star cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin of ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and wrote ‘last night’ with a heart emoticon. As soon as the photos were posted, there was a wave of happiness among the audience, as the film was a massive hit among the spectators.

Apart from this, Ayan shared a post yesterday, in which a video was made by compiling many scenes of the film, which was posted in the joy of completing 10 years of the film. He wrote, “YJHD – My second child, a piece of my heart and soul – 10 years old today! I think after all these years, I can confidently say that…Making this movie was one of the greatest joys of my life! And what we achieved with it – with all its perfections and imperfections – is a source of great eternal pride for me! Strangely, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani fully from beginning to end, since the day it released …(Always pushing towards the next milestone, and not looking back enough…!)”
He futher wrote, “But when I’m older and wiser – I think I will watch the movie atleast once a year – because a big part of who I was and how I looked at life – is forever captured in this movie ! In the recent months, I have often had people recognise me and come up to me… and I’m thinking they will say something about Brahmāstra, and then they started talking about YJHD ! So, putting out a whole lot of gratitude for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani… and all the many people who connected deeply with the movie over the years ! Also sharing a Director’s Note I had written at the time, in my story which someone special from my team shared with me a few days ago… and it brought back all kinds of memories for me ! Yup.”
About ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’
‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ movie is a story of four friends who go on a trip to Manali during college time. The film narrates how the lives and paths of all four of them change after that trip. The film received immense love from the audience and entered the Rs. 100 crore club. If some sources are to be believed then director Ayan Mukerji is thinking of making the sequel of the film. However, no official confirmation has been made on this news yet.
