Cricket fans will be thrilled to learn that Sourav Ganguly’s long-awaited biography is on the way. The famed cricketer recently revealed that production on his film is already beginning. According to reports, Ranbir Kapoor is the frontrunner for the starring role of Sourav. Sourav Ganguly told News18 when asked about it, “There has been no final decision. I’m hoping we’ll be able to offer something nice after the meeting.”

About the film

The biopic will be released on September 9, 2021, according to Luv Films and Sourav Ganguly. After two years of research, the script is virtually ready. After hearing from Sourav, the writer began writing the script and screenplay a year ago. And now it’s almost finished. Sourav Ganguly, on the other hand, has yet to confirm and update it. The former Indian captain must still approve the final confirmation. Sourav, according to trustworthy sources, is hesitant to begin work on the biopic. He wants everything to go more easily so that everything gets done properly.

While the script for the film is still being prepared, reports say that it would depict Sourav Ganguly’s complete career. The film will cover all aspects of Sourav Ganguly’s life, from his days as a young cricketer and captain of the Indian National team to his historic win at Lord’s and finally becoming the president of the BCCI.
