About The Film
Released on 31 October 2025, the film tells the story of Raul, a blind musician played by Garg, whose life revolves around sound, imagination and love. His bond with Mousumi “Mou” (portrayed by Mousumi Alifa) forms the heart of the story. Joy Kashyap plays Neer and adds emotional depth to the love triangle that drives the narrative.
Set in a small Assamese town, the film unfolds against the backdrop of a society recovering from past turmoil. It explores themes of love, art and identity. The late singer not only starred in the film but also wrote the story and composed the music, which makes it an intensely personal creation.
The release carried deep emotional significance as it arrived just weeks after Garg’s tragic passing in September 2025. As a tribute, cinemas across Assam screened only Roi Roi Binale during its first week. The Assam government also announced that its share of GST revenue from the film would be donated to the Kalaguru Artist Foundation, an organisation founded by Garg to support underprivileged artists.
Critics and fans have hailed Roi Roi Binale as a heartfelt tribute to Zubeen Garg’s enduring legacy. The soulful music, touching performances and the film’s message of hope have deeply resonated with audiences.
