It seems like Salman Khan has finally locked his next big-screen project after Sikandar. The actor will lead an army-based action thriller directed by Apoorva Lakhia, inspired by the book India’s Most Fearless 3. The film draws from the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict and will feature Salman as an Indian Army officer for the first time in a full-fledged role.

Salman Khan To Begin Shooting From July

As per a Pinkvilla report, the shoot is set to begin in July 2025 and will run for around 70 days. The team plans to film at real locations in Ladakh, with additional portions recreated on large sets in Mumbai. The story unfolds across two nights but will be told with high-intensity drama and action.

Salman will share the screen with three younger actors, who are yet to be cast. Sources close to the production confirmed that casting is in progress and that the film is expected to be a massive theatrical experience.

The source shared that Salman Khan and Apoorva Lakhia are completely aligned on the film’s vision. Salman believes the story is strong and deserves to be told on the big screen.t. Apoorva has already started locking heads of departments and will soon head to Ladakh for a location recce.

The decision comes after months of meetings at Galaxy Apartments and Salman’s Panvel farmhouse. Directors like Ali Abbas Zafar, Siddharth Anand, Rajkumar Periasamy, Raaj Shandilyaa, Anees Bazmee, and Kabir Khan pitched projects. However, Salman seems most excited about this action-packed military film.

Actor Might Collaborate With Kabir Khan Next But…

Fans waiting for Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 might be disappointed. Kabir Khan has no plans to make a sequel. According to the source, Kabir Khan isn’t keen on making a sequel as he wants to preserve the legacy of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Instead, he has offered Salman Khan a fresh, grand-scale original story.

If everything stays on track, Salman will wrap the action thriller by October 2025 and may start Kabir Khan’s project in November. But with Salman, plans can shift at any time. Directors are still approaching him with new scripts in hopes of working together.
