Even though they didn’t get a deal on Season 2, the show gave them huge exposure that helped their brand grow fast.

Nikhil and his co-founders pitched Brevistay, an app for booking hotels by the hour. They asked for Rs 1 crore in exchange for 1.66% equity, valuing the company at Rs 60.24 crore. But the Sharks chose not to invest.

Still, on the day their episode aired, Brevistay’s website traffic shot up 400 times, and the app got 60,000 downloads in just one day. It was quickly ranked the fifth most popular travel app in India.
