Sheezan Khan: After over two months, actor Sheezan Khan finally got bail on a bond of ₹ 1 lakh on Saturday. Khan was arrested on December 25 in the Tunisha Sharma suicide case. A Maharashtra court granted Sheezan bail today.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, the news came as a big relief to Sheezan’s actor-sister Shafaq Naaz. She told HT, “It’s finally big news (for us). We are very happy this is what we have been waiting for,” she said, adding, “We are on our way to the court. The lawyers have started doing the paperwork.”
Asked if she got a chance to speak to her brother recently, Shafaq said, “Not now. I have no idea when he will get out. But we’ll get to know soon.” Earlier in January their sister Falaq Naaz was admitted in the hospital. Sahaq gave an update on her health too. She said, “She is doing fine. We are fine now.”
Arrested in December
Sheezan (28) was arrested after Sharma allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself on December 24, 2022, on the sets of a TV serial near Valiv in Palghar. He was arrested the next day on a complaint lodged by Sharma’s mother and was lodged in jail under judicial custody.
Khan and the 21-year-old Tunisha were in a relationship but the two had broken up. Tunisha was found dead in Sheezan’s make up room.
