Shefali Jariwala Said To Be Undergoing Anti-Aging Treatment For Years - Could It Be Linked To Her Death? Doctor Responds

Shefali Jariwala, best known for her breakout role in Kaanta Laga, passed away suddenly on Friday night at the age of 42. The actor reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest at her Mumbai home. While the official cause of death is yet to be confirmed, reports suggest she was undergoing anti-ageing treatments for the past few years.

According to sources, Shefali had been taking Vitamin C and Glutathione treatments, commonly used for skin brightening and detox. These are known to improve complexion but are said to be cosmetic in nature.

Is Anti-Ageing Treatment Linked To Her Death?

Speaking to NDTV, a doctor responded to speculations. The doctor said,  “Vitamin C and Glutathione are used for detox and skin tone improvement. They are cosmetic and don’t directly impact heart health.” 

However, he added that only the post-mortem results can give a clear answer.

Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi. Sadly, doctors declared her dead on arrival. Visuals of Parag leaving the hospital visibly devastated have gone viral.

Her body was later moved to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem. The report is awaited. Fans remain shocked, especially since Shefali was known for leading a fitness-focused lifestyle.

Last Rites Of Shefali Jariwala At Oshiwara Crematorium

On Saturday, her mortal remains were brought to her home. A flower-decorated photo frame of Shefali was carried inside, as family and friends prepared for her final rites. Singer Sunidhi Chauhan was among those who came to pay their last respects.

Her last rites will be held at Oshiwara Crematorium in Mumbai’s Andheri, the same place where late Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla was cremated in 2021.

For the unversed, Shefali became a household name with the 2002 song Kaanta Laga. She later appeared in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi with Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. Over the years, she featured in shows like Nach Baliye and Bigg Boss 13.
