Shraddha Kapoor to play Kashmiri girl Rukhsana Kausar KC who killed a militant, know more

Shraddha Kapoor: After portraying the role of brave lady Haseena Parkar, Nagpada’s godmother in Mumbai, Shraddha Kapoor has chosen yet another daring story based on reality. This Time, the actress will play the role of Rukhsana Kausar KC, a Kashmiri girl who killed a Lashkar-E-Taiba (LeT) militant. According to a source close to the Stree actress, “The movie’s producers were looking for an actress who can play the role of Rukhsana and look 20 years old on screen. Without any doubt, Shraddha can do the justice to this role. She was therefore added to the film. Shraddha’s role in the film is diametrically opposed to what she has played in the majority of her films.”

Who is Rukhsana Kausar KC?

For those, who doesn’t know who is Rukhsana Kausar KC, she is a young Kashmiri girl who became famous overnight after showing her bravery to kill one LeT terrorist and injuring another in her home in Jammu & Kashmir’s Rajouri district. This was happened on the evening of September 27, 2009, a group of terrorists attacked Rukhsana’s home. Abu Osama of the LeT was killed instantly when she and her brother overcame him and took control of his AK-47.

Shraddha Kapoor is currently receiving a lot of appreciation for her dance cameo in the viral song of Bhediya,‘Thumkeshwari’. This song stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. For the upcoming films, the actress will be seen in the much anticipated Stree 2.  Shraddha will be seen in Luv Ranjan’s untitled film with Ranbir Kapoor.
