Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par has retained attention with its strong run even in 3rd week, thanks to a sharp bounce at the box office. After a slow third Friday, the emotional sports drama earned an estimated Rs 4.75 crore on Saturday, nearly double the previous day’s Rs 2.4 crore.

The film has now crossed Rs 142.55 crore and is closing in on the Rs 150 crore mark in India.

Insiders say its momentum is remarkable, especially after a solid second-week finish at Rs 46.5 crore. With the current pace, joining the Rs 150 crore club seems very likely.

On the other hand, Brad Pitt’s F1 is holding steady in India despite Sitaare’s surge. It opened with Rs 5.5 crore on Friday, which climbed to Rs 7.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 8.15 crore on Sunday. The movie ended its first weekend at around Rs 21.4 crore.

While collections dipped to Rs 3.35 crore on Monday, they recovered slightly midweek. By the end of its first week, F1 had made Rs 35.5 crore. With an estimated additional Rs 5.75 crore on second Saturday, the total has neared Rs 44.5 crore, a respectable figure for a Hollywood import.

About Sitaare Zameen Par

Directed by RS Prasanna, the film stars Aamir Khan as Gulshan, a former basketball coach assigned to train neurodivergent children as part of community service. The role helps him and the kids to grow through shared experiences. Genelia Deshmukh plays his wife, Sunita.
