Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection Day 2: Aamir’s Film Gets 2X Boost On 1st Saturday, Kills BIG Jump Expectations Of Housefull 5
Sitaare Zameen Par sees strong growth on Day 2 with Rs 21.50 crore, taking its total to Rs 32.20 crore. The film outpaces Housefull 5, which struggles to gain weekend momentum.
Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par is showing strong growth at the box office. The film saw a major jump on its first Saturday, collecting Rs 21.50 crore, as per early estimates by Sacnilk. That brings its two-day total to Rs 32.20 crore in India.
Directed by RS Prasanna, the film stars Aamir and Genelia Deshmukh. The early response has been positive, with many viewers and critics appreciating the emotional depth and performances. It also marks a bounce-back for Aamir after Laal Singh Chaddha underperformed.
Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection Day 2: Aamir Film’s Witnesses 2X Growth
The Saturday boost was more than double the Rs 10.7 crore collected on Friday. This gave Sitaare Zameen Par a clear lead in the weekend race. In contrast, Housefull 5, which is in its third week, saw collections of around Rs 2 crore on Friday and only a slight rise to Rs 2.25 crore on Saturday. That small bump doesn’t bode well for the comedy film’s future at the box office.
Without a strong push or new buzz, Housefull 5 is struggling to hold its ground. With Aamir’s film drawing the weekend crowd, Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer may see a sharper decline from Monday onwards if audience interest continues to drop.

Sitaare Zameen Par is also outperforming some big titles when it comes to two-day numbers. Aamir’s own Laal Singh Chaddha made Rs 18.96 crore in the same period. Akshay’s Sky Force managed Rs 34.25 crore, while Kesari Chapter 2 stood at Rs 17.5 crore. These comparisons show that Sitaare Zameen Par has found early traction, and the Sunday numbers will now be key.
