Pathaan premiere: The long wait for Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan is finally over. Before the film released on January 25, its team got together late on Tuesday night to watch Pathaan together. SRK, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham posed with the team members as they watched the action-packed spy drama at the YRF Studios in Mumbai.

Besharam Rang song lyricist Kumaar shared a few photos of the cast and director Siddharth Anand on Instagram. SRK looks adorable with his messy hair and an unbuttoned black shirt, in the pictures. While John too wore an all-black outfit, Deepika sported a beige sweater and matching slacks. Everyone looks happy and relaxed in the pictures. SRK attended the screening of Pathaan with his wife Gauri Khan.

SRK is love
Casting director Shaanoo Sharma also posted a number of images from the screening. Her post described how moviegoers brought whistles to cheer at the film’s dramatic scenes. In one photo, Sharma is wearing a locket that reads, “SRK is love,” and in another, Siddharth Anand is seen crossing his fingers.
Additionally, actor Ekta Kaul shared a snapshot from the screening with Shah Rukh Khan. The post’s caption read, “Sums it all! #thankyou2023.”
Much anticipated film
Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan marks the actor’s cinematic comeback after more than four years. It is speculated that the film will make a historic Rs 40–45 crore on day one. In addition to 8000 screens worldwide, the movie debuted on more than 5000 screens in India. Single screens are overburdened with pre-bookings while multiplexes too are witnessing a thundering reception at the ticket lines.

Pathaan in spyverse
Pathaan is the latest installment of the highly-celebrated spy universe established by Yash Raj Films, after Salman Khan’s blockbuster Tiger franchise and Hrithik Roshan-starrer War. Shah Rukh plays the titular character of an ex-RAW field agent. He returns to the field after a long exile to protect India from the highly dangerous leader of the terrorist group ‘Outfit X’, played by John Abraham. Deepika Padukone also plays a spy who joins Pathaan in his mission. The film is directed by Siddharth Anand.
