‘Stop Pretending To Be…’ Kunal Kamra Hits Out At Ranveer Allahbadia, Accuses Him Of Milking IGL Controversy For Personal Gain

Comedian Kunal Kamra has openly criticised influencer Ranveer Allahbadia aka BeerBiceps, accusing him of using the India’s Got Latent (IGL) controversy for personal gain. Kamra’s sharp comments came after Ranveer shared his thoughts on how the incident affected his YouTube channels, BeerBiceps and The Ranveer Show.

Kamra wrote that over 30 artists, including himself, were summoned by authorities because of the Latent controversy. He said, “The whole comedy fraternity took a hit because of how stupid you’re. Shows were cancelled, venues pulled out, judgments made, the pathetic shadow of your stupidity still continues to make lives of funny comedians difficult.”

Kunal Kamra Hits Hard At Ranveer Allahbadia

Kamra did not hold back in his criticism. He called Ranveer Allahbadia a contraceptive for creativity and accused him of pretending to be a good person. He added, “Stop pretending to be the nice guy you’re not. Take your cheque’s, lower your gaze & be very ashamed.”

He also urged Ranveer to stop milking the controversy and focus on what he does best. Kamra wrote that this BEST is being a hurdle for upward social change while FraudCasting & clout chasing.

Ranveer Allahbadia had posted about the controversy and said, “It took me and my team 10 years to build BeerBiceps and The Ranveer Show to where they were. And in one incident, a large part of it was shaken.” He also referenced a doha by Sant Kabir, highlighting patience in growth and rebuilding.

About India’s Got Latent Incident

The IGL controversy began in early 2025 when comedian Samay Raina’s show faced backlash over a remark made by Ranveer Allahbadia. The comment caused public outrage, leading to FIRs and summons from authorities, including the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. Several comedians, including Kunal Kamra, were questioned.

Following the incident, shows were cancelled, digital platforms removed the content, and the controversy left a lasting impact on India’s comedy scene.
