Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who accused the show’s producer Asit Kumarr Modi and two others of sexual and mental harassment, has now slammed the show’s actor Mandar Chandwadkar. Mandar plays the role of Atmaram Tukaram Bhide. He had earlier refuted his co-star’s claim of the show’s set being “male chauvinist”.
Jennifer said Mandar will do anything to defend Modi and will do whatever the producer will ask him to.
Mandar supporting producer
In a new interview, Jennifer lashed out at Mandar for supporting Modi and said being a man, he is supporting another man. She also shared that she talked to one of her co-actors on the show who was shocked to know about Mandar supporting Modi.
“He (Mandar) is a male too. What will he say when he himself is a male? He will do whatever Asit Kumarr Modi will tell him. Anything. The co-star who called me yesterday also abused Mandar for over 45 minutes. ‘Sa**a yeh kaise palat gaya’ (How did he change sides?)I told him, ‘I do not care’. Let him do whatever he wants to do. I do not care,” the actress told the interviewer.
After Jennifer accused Modi of sexual and mental harassment, the latter called the allegations against him ‘baseless’. He said in a statement, “We will take legal action as she is trying to defame me and the show both. Since we terminated her services, she is making these baseless allegations.”
Police investigating matter
The Mumbai police has already started investigating the matter and an FIR will be registered after those named in the complaint will record their statements.
Jennifer alleged that her other co-stars on the show advised her to not file the complaint as it would affect the livelihood of those working on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. However, she told them, “Whatever is happening is because of the producer’s action.”
