Sudheer Varma: Telugu actor Sudheer Varma, 33, allegedly died by suicide on January 23 at his residence in his hometown Visakhapatnam. Director Venky Kudumla shared a photo of Sudheer and Tweeted ‘he shouldn’t have done this.’ Sudheer’s co-stars expressed their shock over his sudden demise. More details about his funeral were awaited.
Sudheer Varma acted in Telugu films such as Kundanapu Bomma and Second Hand. Reports said he was under pressure over personal issues. A family member said, “He had been struggling for a while to get good roles.”
He also acted in a web series Shoot Out At Alair.
Colleagues pay tribute
Sudheer’s Kundanapu Bomma co-star Sudhakar Komakula took to Twitter to pay last respects to him. He shared pictures from the film’s pre-release function and wrote, “Sudheer Such a lovely and warm guy. It was great knowing you and working with you brother! Can’t digest the fact that you are no more! Om Shanti! (sic).”
Director Venky Kudumula was heartbroken to hear the news. He wrote, “Sometimes the sweetest smiles hide the deepest pain..We never know what others are going through.. Please be empathetic and spread just love !! Miss you ra Sudheer ! You shouldn’t have done this.. May ur soul rest in peace (sic).”
