Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein is showing steady momentum at the box office. Dhanush and Kriti Sanon starrer has crossed the Rs 30 crore mark after two days in theatres. The growth has been controlled, but the film continues to draw interest from fans who were curious about its intense, emotional storyline.
Tere Ishk Mein Box Office Collection Day 2
The film opened with an estimated Rs 16 crore on Day 1. This was considered a solid start, especially because it did not release on a holiday. For a romantic drama, these numbers looked encouraging. Many viewers walked in to experience the world Aanand L Rai is known for.
Saturday brought a slight push. Sources suggest a collection of around Rs 17 crore on Day 2. The jump was small but enough to take the film past the Rs 30 crore mark. Trade experts said the opening was “beyond expectations,” noting that the performances of Dhanush and Kriti Sanon helped pull audiences to cinemas. Their chemistry (which drives the film) has also received praise.
However, the film did not see the strong Saturday leap that word-of-mouth-driven projects usually get. Viewer reactions so far are mixed. Some people have praised the film’s emotional depth, while others feel the intensity is overwhelming. This split in opinion may have prevented a bigger rise over the weekend.
Now, all attention is on Sunday’s numbers. A stronger jump could help the film close the weekend on a high note and set a firm base for the weekdays. Without that push, the film may need strong weekday word of mouth to maintain its pace.
Tere Ishk Mein Box Office Collection Day 2
| Day | India Net Collection |
|---|---|
| Day 1 (Friday) | Rs 16 cr |
| Day 2 (Saturday) | Rs 17 cr |
| Total (2 Days) | Rs 33 cr nett |
Despite the controlled growth, Tere Ishk Mein has already outperformed the lifetime collection of Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency, which ended at Rs 23.75 crore. The next benchmark is Shahid Kapoor’s Deva, which made Rs 55.8 crore in its full run.
The Dhanush-Kriti starrer still has some distance to cover to reach that mark, but its early numbers have given it a fighting chance.
About The Film
Tere Ishk Mein follows the story of Mukti, played by Kriti Sanon, and Shankar, portrayed by Dhanush. Mukti falls for Shankar, a fierce and unpredictable man who lives by his own rules. Their bond is intense but short-lived as circumstances tear them apart. The heartbreak changes Shankar, who spirals into rage and vows to burn “entire Delhi” for his shattered heart. The film explores love, pain and the madness that follows.
The film is backed by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series and Colour Yellow Productions. Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar serve as producers. AR Rahman has composed the music, with Irshad Kamil writing the lyrics.
Sunday’s collection is now crucial and the film’s first-week performance will reveal whether it can climb toward bigger box office milestones or settle into a steady but moderate run.
