The Archies: Zoya Akhtar has completed the filming schedule for her upcoming highly anticipated film, The Archies. Aside from Zoya taking on the role of director after the success of Gully Boy, the film also features the debuts of Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, and Khushi Kapoor. The Netflix streaming platform will release the comic book adaptation next year.

The Archies Wrap Up
Christmas came a little early for the entire Archies crew as they wrapped up the Netflix filming schedule. The producers announced the end of production with a slew of celebratory photos from the set, which showed the entire crew revelling in the excitement.
The photos showed Christmas banners and decorations being hung in the background. In addition to the aforementioned actors, the film will also star Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Yuvraj Menda, and Vedang Raina. Agastya, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, makes his film debut, as do Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana and late actress Sridevi’s daughter Khushi.

About The Archies
The film is an adaptation of Archie Comics, and it stars the iconic gang of Archie, Betty, Dilton, Ether, Jughead, Reggie, and Veronica. “The film is filled with the youthful energy, hope and excitement synonymous with the swinging 1960s. “A musical experience bursting with youth, rebellion, friendships, first loves, and everything young adult,” says the streaming platform in a press release.
The Archies has been directed by Zoya. It has been co-written by Reema Kagti and Ayesha Devitre. The forthcoming movie is a musical drama set in the 1960s. The film is expected to release on Netflix next year.
