The film's director (Sandeep Singh) announced the film via an Instagram post, a couple hours ago. The post carried the film's poster with the caption, "Our Honour & Privilege, Presenting the Epic Saga of India’s Greatest Warrior King – The Pride of Bharat: #ChhatrapatiShivajiMaharaj." The captioned continued, "This isn’t just a film – it’s a battle cry to honor a warrior who fought against all odds, challenged the might of the Mighty Mughal empire, and forged a legacy that can never be forgotten. Sandeep also described the film as "a Magnum Opus Action Drama, a cinematic experience unlike any other."

The film's official title is The Pride Of Bharat - Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and as of now the film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 21st January 2027.
