The Raja Saab Advance Booking: Advance booking for The Raja Saab has opened on a steady note across India. The Prabhas starrer has sold around 1.5 lakh tickets so far in key centres. The numbers look decent at this stage. Still, the film is behind Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar in the early booking race.
With the theatrical release set for tomorrow, January 9, The Raja Saab has only one day left to improve its advance sales. Trade watchers are now closely tracking whether last-minute bookings can push the film closer to its competitor.
The Raja Saab Advance Booking Report
As of 9:30 am today, the film earned around Rs 3.3 crore in advance booking gross. This figure includes all languages and formats. More than 1.2 lakh tickets have been sold nationwide so far. The response points to a cautious start rather than a strong surge.
The Telugu 2D version is driving most of the advance sales. It has collected over Rs 2.12 crore by selling more than 76,000 tickets. These sales are spread across nearly 1,000 shows. This reflects strong support in Telugu-speaking regions.
Hindi 2D bookings remain weak. The film has earned around Rs 3.7 lakh from close to 3,700 tickets. Tamil 2D numbers are even lower. The film has very few shows in Tamil, and ticket sales are minimal at this point.
The Hindi Dolby Cinema format, however, shows better momentum. It has earned over Rs 1.12 crore from more than 40,000 tickets. These sales come from 1,100-plus shows. In contrast, Telugu Dolby Cinema numbers are limited due to fewer available screens.
Overall, The Raja Saab stands at Rs 3.3 crore in advance booking gross. When block seats are added, the total jumps to around Rs 8.21 crore. Final figures will depend on last-minute bookings and walk-in audiences.
Paid Premieres Tonight In AP And Telangana
When compared to Dhurandhar, the gap remains wide. According to Sacnilk, the film “Dhurandhar” ended its Day 1 pre-sales with Rs 9.23 crore gross, excluding blocked seats. Including blocked seats, the number rose to nearly Rs 14 crore. The film sold around 2.62 lakh tickets before release. Cities like Mumbai and Bengaluru played a major role.
Meanwhile, The Raja Saab is set for massive paid early premieres tonight in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Although the worldwide release is fixed for January 9, special premiere shows will begin on January 8 evening. In Andhra Pradesh, screenings will start after 6:00 pm with official government approval.
The Andhra Pradesh government has allowed a ticket price hike for these premieres. Prices are capped at Rs 1,000 for both single screens and multiplexes. For regular shows starting January 9, a hike of Rs 150 for single screens and Rs 200 for multiplexes has been approved for the first ten days.
In Telangana, approvals faced last-minute legal hurdles. The producers had requested special premiere prices between Rs 800 and Rs 1,180. On January 7, 2026, the Telangana High Court clarified that earlier restrictive orders do not apply to The Raja Saab. The final decision on pricing was left to the state government.
Despite the hurdles, the film is expected to see strong turnout across Telugu states tonight. It also benefits from a clear release window after the postponement of Jana Nayagan. The next 24 hours will be crucial in shaping its opening-day numbers.
