Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG took the box office by storm with record-breaking. The film crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in just two days. Collections did fall on Friday, but the Sujeeth directorial is still holding strong in India and overseas.
As per Sacnilk.com, OG earned Rs 19.25 crore net on Friday. This pushed its domestic total to Rs 104 crore. The film is now the fastest Pawan Kalyan movie to enter the Rs 100 crore club. It is also only his second film to achieve this feat. OG has beaten Mirai’s 15-day total of Rs 85.07 crore in only two days.

The craze for OG began even before its release. Paid previews on Wednesday brought in Rs 21 crore net. On Thursday, the film added Rs 63.75 crore net. This took its opening to a massive Rs 84.75 crore in India. Trade experts said these numbers make OG one of the biggest Telugu openings to date.
The film also set records overseas. In North America, it earned more than $3 million. Worldwide, OG grossed Rs 154 crore on its first day, according to DVV Entertainment. This ranks as the seventh-biggest opening in Indian film history and the largest of 2025 so far.
About The Film
Sujeeth’s action thriller stars Pawan Kalyan as gangster Ojas Gambheera. The story follows his return to Mumbai after ten years. His mission is to face crime boss Omi Bhau (played by Emraan Hashmi in his Telugu debut). The cast also features Priyanka Mohan, Sriya Reddy, Arjun Das, and Prakash Raj.
The release had extra buzz because this may be Pawan Kalyan’s last film for a while. The actor is now Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He has hinted that he will focus on politics and step back from acting.

Another talking point is the link between OG and Saaho. Director Sujeeth revealed he is building a “Sujeeth Cinematic Universe.” He hinted that OG connects with Prabhas’ 2019 film.
Fans have noticed easter eggs, including Jackie Shroff’s flashback role and a mention of Waaji City, the world of Saaho. These nods sparked excitement. Still, Sujeeth said “nothing is concrete yet.” He added that a crossover would need planning between stars like Pawan Kalyan and Prabhas.
For now, the link stays subtle. It is more of a tease than a full crossover. But with OG’s strong start, the chances of a shared universe look brighter than ever.
