Dhurandhar advance bookings show how much moviegoers are excited to watch it in theatres, but details on ticket prices will shock you. Booking opened on Monday (four days before release) and fans rushed to grab seats. The early response is strong, but the real shocker is the soaring ticket rates across major cities.
With the nationwide ‘blockbuster surcharge’ kicking in, premium seats have crossed Rs 2000. The prices are trending online and still selling faster than expected.
Dhurandhar Ticket Prices Hit New Highs
Bookings are now open for nearly 3000 shows. The average price for a regular-format ticket on Friday is Rs 307. IMAX screenings cost more, with an average weekend price of Rs 570. The prices are much higher compared with last week’s Tere Ishk Mein, which opened at Rs 211.
Metro cities have seen the steepest jump. Several recliner screenings in Delhi and Mumbai are priced above Rs 1600. The most expensive ticket in India is at PVR Director’s Cut, Vasant Kunj, where a single seat costs Rs 2400.
Despite the price, it is selling out fast. In Mumbai’s PVR Icon, Andheri, recliners priced at Rs 1610 are already full for Friday. Even in Gurgaon, many premium shows are touching Rs 2000. IMAX tickets in tier-1 cities have also crossed the Rs 1000 mark.
Ranveer Singh Starrer To Witness Strong Opening At Box Office
The film sold more than 20,000 tickets within the first few hours of booking. The pace slowed down later in the day, but trade experts expect a jump on Wednesday and Thursday. The buzz around Ranveer Singh’s role (mixed with aggressive pricing) is likely to push Dhurandhar toward a solid opening weekend.

Ranveer Singh plays an undercover Indian operative who enters Pakistan’s Lyari region to dismantle a mafia group and block a terror attack. The story blends intense action with emotional depth and stands out for its scale and world-building.
The cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi. Madhavan’s role as Ajay Sanyal has caught attention because viewers say he looks strikingly similar to NSA Ajit Doval. The film also has an unusually long runtime of 212 minutes, making it one of the lengthiest Hindi films in recent years.
Controversies Ahead Of Release
The film has not been free from trouble. The family of the late Major Mohit Sharma moved the Delhi High Court, claiming the story mirrors his life without permission. Director Aditya Dhar denied this and said the film is not a biopic. Another dispute came from the widow of a Pakistani police officer, who objected to how her husband was portrayed.
The Delhi High Court has asked the CBFC to review the film with input from the Indian Army. But the court refused to stay the release, allowing the film to keep its December 5, 2025 date.
