Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is showing signs of a slow start at the box office. Despite the Christmas release, early reports suggest the film could open in single-digit crore figures domestically. Limited screens, stiff competition, and fewer show timings are making it hard for the movie to pick up momentum.
According to Sacnilk, the film has earned an estimated Rs 1.81 crore from advance bookings ahead of its December 25 release. By 10:30 pm, around 49,000 tickets had been sold across 2,839 shows. Including blocked seats, the total advance booking amount is estimated at Rs 2.94 crore.
Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the film faces tough competition from Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar and James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash. Both films have taken premium screens and strong collections nationwide. Analysts note that fewer shows in key urban centres could further limit box office growth.
The past releases of Kartik Aaryan have set mixed benchmarks. While he opened big with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (Rs 36 crore) and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (Rs 14 crore), most of his films have opened below Rs 10 crore. Analysts now estimate that this film could open around Rs 5 crore based on current bookings. The highest occupancy so far is from Kartik’s hometown of Gwalior.
Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri Advance Booking Report
The early numbers show both limited screens and audience hesitancy. Despite the festive release, the movie has struggled to secure prime-time shows in major cities. Analysts warn that it may not cross the Rs 10 crore mark in its opening weekend.
Social media reactions and trade reports indicate a muted response. Many are comparing its prospects to recent underperformers like Param Sundari and SSKTK. These trends show the challenges the film faces despite its star cast.
