Vijay Deverakonda opens up about ‘Liger’ box office disappointment, says ‘When a film doesn’t perform, it does hurt’

Vijay Deverakonda’s first Bollywood movie, ‘Liger,’ didn’t do well and failed at the box office. Even though fans had high hopes because of the director Puri Jagannadh and ‘Arjun Reddy’ actor, the movie got negative reviews and didn’t perform as expected. When Vijay Deverakonda launched the trailer of his new movie ‘Kushi,’ he spoke about how Liger didn’t do so well. He learned from that experience and hopes his fans will like his new movie.

Vijay Deverakonda talks about ‘Liger’ box office failure

Vijay Deverakonda spoke about Liger’s box office disappointment and said, “When a film doesn’t perform or work, it does hurt. I have had many flops before. Liger is not the first one. And I have had many hits before. I will continue to have many flops and many hits. We are trying to tell stories. My ambition is always to do something creative. My lifestyle is to go all out.”

He further added, “The results sometimes vary and it hurts but it doesn’t stop me. I am not scared of failure. It hurts when a film doesn’t work but it doesn’t stop me from going at it again. I am not scared of falling,” Vijay stated candidly. Having said that, when I fall, it hurts but it doesn’t stop me from running. I get back up and keep running because the drive and ambition is to run and run fast.”

About ‘Kushi’

Vijay Deverakonda is all set to showcase his acting prowess to the fans once again with the romantic film ‘Kushi’. In this film, he is going to be seen opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The highly anticipated film ‘Kushi’ is directed by Siva Nirvana and is scheduled to release on September 1, 2023 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
