The sudden death of Kaanta Laga fame Shefali Jariwala has left the entertainment industry shocked. She passed away on June 27 due to a cardiac arrest at her Mumbai home. Now, her Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant, Vishal Aditya Sing,h has revealed that they were supposed to meet for dinner the same night.
Vishal shared a screenshot of their WhatsApp chat, just two days before her passing. In it, he suggested dinner plans and listed a few places. Shefali responded, “Sun na, today all places will be dead. Shall we go on Friday?” She later confirmed she’d meet him on June 27 at 10 pm. Sadly, she passed away around the same time.

Vishal posted the chat on Instagram with a heartbreak emoji. The post deeply moved fans. Many were surprised to see how normal and cheerful Shefali sounded just hours before her untimely death.

According to reports, Shefali collapsed at her home while her husband, Parag Tyagi, had stepped out to walk their dog. Sources claim she was fasting and had taken anti-ageing injections and supplements on an empty stomach. Doctors believe this triggered a sudden drop in blood pressure, leading to cardiac arrest.
She did not make it to the hospital in time. By the time help arrived, she was already gone.
Industry Paid Tribute To Late Kaanta Laga Star
Shefali’s last rites were held in Mumbai with close friends and family in attendance. Her husband, Parag and her mother were inconsolable. Several television and music industry celebrities, including Shehnaaz Gill, Sunidhi Chauhan, Arti Singh, Paras Chhabra, Mahira Sharma, Rashami Desai and Hindustani Bhau, came to bid a tearful farewell.
Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who worked with Shefali Jariwala in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, also paid tribute. Pee Cee wrote on Instagram, “She was too young.”
Shefali’s ex-husband (Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros) also shared kind words about her. Though she had been away from the limelight recently, Shefali stayed active on social media and remained connected with her circle of friends.
