War 2 OTT Release: Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR Starrer Begins Streaming On Netflix, Netizens Say ‘Kaise Jhele The Theatre Mein…’

War 2 has failed to find its audience on Netflix. Despite high expectations and a massive budget, viewers are criticising its VFX, action sequences and more.

Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2 is now streaming on Netflix, but audiences are not impressed. Released in theatres on August 14, the action-packed spy sequel was highly anticipated. Hrithik reprises his role as Kabir, while Jr NTR makes his Bollywood debut. After the theatre, OTT viewers also seem disappointed.

“It is reportedly made with a budget between ₹300 and ₹400 crores, yet its VFX and CGA are extremely disappointing.”

“Watching War 2 on @NetflixIndia Bhai.. Kaise jhele the ye movie theatre mein.. 1hr aise taise kar ke jhela par aur seh nayi paya.. Stopped watching after 1hr..”

“The most boring intro scene ever. #War2.”

“This one has to be the most cartoonish & pathetic sword fight scene in the history of Cinema.”

Is It Hit Or Flop?

War 2 is the sequel to Siddharth Anand’s 2019 hit War, which starred Hrithik and Tiger Shroff. In this film, Jr NTR plays Vikram and Kiara plays Kavya, bringing new characters to the spy universe. A post-credits scene teased the next instalment, Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and Bobby Deol.

Despite a massive budget of Rs 300–400 crore, War 2 earned only around Rs 364 crore worldwide. The film opened strong but quickly lost momentum due to poor reviews and word-of-mouth. It failed to beat the Rs 471 crore lifetime collection of the original War. This leaves the film with FLOP verdict.

The Netflix release gives audiences another chance to watch the film. But early reactions suggest the sequel is still struggling to impress.

The YRF spy universe continues, and viewers are eagerly waiting for Alpha to see if the franchise can recover from this lukewarm response.
