Ranbir Kapoor is bringing old-school charm back with a modern twist. In a new promo for the OPPO Reno14 Series, the actor steps into Raj Kapoor’s shoes, sporting the iconic Aawara look in a campaign titled “Live the Aawara Life.” The ad mixes vintage Bollywood vibes with today’s love for spontaneity.

Let us remind you, he was spotted in Mumbai just a day before the video dropped, dressed in a black coat, floppy hat, and thin moustache. Fans now know it was all for a campaign that blends freedom, creativity, and classic cinema in a stylish package.

Ranbir Kapoor Says Aawara Is About Feeling, Not Just Looks

In the black-and-white promo, Ranbir is asked if he’s recreating the famous song “Aawara Hoon.” He quickly says, “No, I’m not recreating the song.” Instead, he explains what the look means to him. He says, “It’s a feeling. Being Aawara is not about just seeing the world, it’s about feeling it. It’s about being close to the things you love and feeling alive.”

The video starts in black-and-white and then turns to colour, showing how the old-school vibe mixes with today’s style. Ranbir’s Aawara look keeps the classic feel but adds a modern touch.
