Malaika Arora often gets trolled for her sartorial choices, gym attires to be particular. But most times it’s just random men on the internet telling women how to dress. But, this time round things are different. The fashionista is currently getting bashed for flaunting a Balenciaga dress. For the unversed, Balenciaga was at the centre of controversies for there ad featuring children. In brand’s promotional images, young children were seen in promotional pieces from the Balenciaga ids line. The children also carried plush bear bags which has studded accessories. Many felt that the bags were inappropriate for children, stirring a worldwide boycott of the brand. Later, Balenciaga creative director Demna issued a public apology for the campaign.

Netizens weren’t too happy with Malaika’s choice. “Risky choice to wear Balenciaga with the current controversy. I really don’t understand Bollywood ‘s obsession with this brand,” one internet user wrote, while another mentioned, “Why is Malaika still wearing and supporting Balenciaga when they’ve been canceled and exposed throughout the world for Pedophilia? This is just sad!!” “Malaika Arora tone deaf to wear balenciaga after Balenciaga’s Holiday Campaign sparks to cancel brand due to featuring children cuddling teddy bears dressed in bondage gear in its latest advertising campaign. One child is pictured with an assortment of empty wine glasses, and contained court documents referencing child pornography as part of the set,” wrote another internet user.
