World Mental Health Day 2025: Every year, celebrities use World Mental Health Day to raise awareness. This year, Shark Tank India star Namita Thapar shared a heartfelt message to remind people of the importance of kindness and mental well-being.
Ahead of the day, celebrated today (October 10), Namita posted a video on her Instagram that quickly caught attention.
Namita Thapar Urges People To Be Kind On World Mental Health Day 2025
In it, she said, “That lady dancing happily with her friends… Do you know? It took her an hour to muster the courage to step out because of her low self-esteem. That guy who looks so cool with his biceps and six-pack is going through a traumatic divorce. That teen over there laughing and chatting with his friends is a victim of bullying. Sonu Nigam entertained audiences joyfully, but deep down, he was shattered because he was seeing his mother go through a rough journey with cancer. You don’t know what someone is going through. Of all things in life, be kind.”
Sharing the video, she added, “Tomorrow, Oct 10, is World Mental Health Day. It’s a reminder that mental health is a silent epidemic that is impacting all of us. So if there is ONE thing you can do to help – be kind – coz you never know what chaos & traumas people are going through. I’ve been there so I know how trauma feels & how kindness heals :)”
