South Korean model-actor Jung Chae-yul was found dead at her residence on Monday. She was 26 years of age. Chae-yul was a part of the Netflix series Zombie Detective and the film Deep. The news has come as a shock for many and there have been many speculations around the same. Her agency has requested fans to refrain from spreading rumours until they reveal the details.
Jung Chae-yul’s agency releases statement
The statement read, “Today, we are relaying sorrowful and heartbreaking news. Actress Jung Chae-Yul left our side on April 11, 2023. In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family who must have been in greater sadness than anyone else, the funeral will be held quietly in private. Please wish for Jung Chae Yull, who had always been earnest in her pursuit of acting, to rest in peace in a warm place. We earnestly request that you refrain from writing speculative articles or spreading rumours.”
“We express our deep condolences. Future filming schedule is under internal discussion,” a representative from the production team was quoted.

Jung Chae-yul was an active social media user. She used to interact with her 25k followers quite frequently. Just before her death, she had taken to Instagram to share a few pictures from an elevator.
Jung Chae-yul began her modelling career in 2016 and made and forayed into small screen with “Devil’s Runway.” She further made the transition into acting With “Deep.” She was currently filming the drama based on the web novel “Wedding Impossible.” The show’s cast and staff are shocked and has stopped filming until April 12. They issued a statement that read, “We send our sincere sympathies. A future filming schedule is now being discussed internally.”
