Covid-19 Update: India reports 41,383 new cases, 507 deaths

New Delhi: Covid-19 crisis is still prevalent in India.  Once again more than 40 thousand new cases of the novel virus have been registered in the country. In the last 24 hours, 41,383 new cases have been reported, while 507 deaths related to the virus were also witnessed, according to figures released by the health ministry on Thursday morning. Earlier on Wednesday, there were 42,015 new cases.

 In the last 24 hours, 38,652 people have recovered from corona, i.e. yesterday 2224 active cases increased.

The number of corona active cases in the country is more than four lakh. A total of 4 lakh 9 thousand people are still infected with the corona virus, who are undergoing treatment. Since the onset of the epidemic, 3 crore 12 lakh 57 thousand people have been infected. Out of these 4 lakh 18 thousand 987 people have died. The good thing is that 3 crore 4 lakh 29 thousand people have also recovered.

According to the Health Ministry, doses of 41 crore 78 lakh corona vaccines have been given across the country till July 21. 22 lakh 77 thousand vaccines were given yesterday. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 459 million corona tests have been done so far. 17.18 lakh corona samples were tested yesterday, with a positivity rate of less than 3 per cent.

The mortality rate in the country is 1.34 per cent while the recovery rate is over 97 per cent. Active cases are 1.30 per cent. India ranks seventh in the world in terms of corona active case. India ranks second in terms of total number of infected. While India has the second highest number of deaths after the United States and Brazil.

Meanwhile, the overall global Covid-19 caseload has topped 191.9 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 4.12 million and vaccinations soared to over 3.71 billion.
