A major decline was witnessed in India’s covid-19 positive cases in last 24-hour as only 38,310 infections were reported across the country. With fresh new additions, the country’s total covid-19 tally has reached 8,267,623. The total death toll has mounted to 123,097 with 490 fresh deaths. As of Tuesday morning, there are 542,346 active cases of covid-19, as many as 7.601,429 people have recuperated.

Delhi’s daily infections showed decline as the city recorded 4,000 cases on Monday. The Centre cited ongoing festive season as the reason of increasing infection and has come up with an elaborated plan to curb the infection. Among the measures which are to be taken are targeted RT-PCR testing in restaurants, market places and barber shops, ensuring proper hospital facilities in hospitals.

*As many as 19 passenegers have tested positive for covid-19 in a recent flight from New Delhi to Wuhan under the Vande Bharat Mission. Besides the 19 Indians who tested positive, antibodies were found in the tests of 39 others, officials said.
*Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has been discharged from hospital after he tested negative for the covid-19. He was admited to Breach Candy Hospital last month after contracting the infection.
*With 1,700 new Covid-19 cases and 58 more deaths, Chhattisgarhs count rose to 1,90,513 and the toll to 2,208 on Monday, a health official said.
*Accordin to the second sero survey in Harayana, at least 14.8 per cent population of Haryana has developed anti-bodies. Haryana’s Director of Health Services, Dr. Usha Gupta, said, “Rural areas of Faridabad and Jind were found to have the highest positivity rate of 25.5 per cent. Urban areas of Faridabad, Yamunanagar and Panipat districts had the highest sero-positivity rates of 40.2 per cent, 37.1 per cent and 36.3 per cent, respectively”.
*The Tamil Nadu state government has announced Deepavali bonus of Rs 210.48 crore to the PSU employees in the state, even as the income shrunk down to non-operation of vehicles amid the covid-10 induced lockdown.
*Manipur on Monday reported nine COVID-19 related deaths and the highest single-day spike, taking the death toll to 180 while the total positive cases has climbed to 19,091, with 341 fresh cases.
*Germany will observe four-week long partial lockdown with restaurants, bars, theatres, cinemas and other entertainment facilities shutting down until the end of November to curb the recent infections of covid-19.
Meanwhile, the global tally of coronavirus cases stands at 47,284,293. While 33,982,192 have recovered, 1,210,378 have died so far.
