Covid-19 Update: Recovery count continues to improve at a steady rate

With 86,052 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24-hour, India’s total case count has reached over 58 lakh. The death toll from the virus has reached 92,290 with 1,121 new fatalities, as per the latest update from health ministry.

India’s recovery rate has further improved to 81.74 per cent as on September 25, keeping a steady improvement since the outbreak.

Here’re some of the more updates related to the coronavirus disease across the country

  • Congress MLA B Narayan Rao died of coronavirus on Thursday at a private hospital in Bengaluru. He is the eight lawmaker of the country to succumb to the virus.
  • Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai has said that city is not suffering from the second wave of coronavirus. He said that more testing in has resulted into increased number of covid-19 cases
  • West Bengal Transport Minister Suvendu Adhikari has tested Covid-19 Positive on Thursday, officials said.

Meanwhile, he overall number of global coronavirus cases has topped the 32.1 million mark, while the deaths have increased to more than 981,000, according to the Johns Hopkins University.

As of Friday morning, the total number of cases stood at 32,135,220 and the casualties count reached to 981,754, the University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed in its latest update.
