Health Tips: Brisk walking can help you stay protected during winter by keeping your body insulated. However, there are certain things you must keep in mind.

Health Tips: The chilly winter is already here! Are you ready to face it? While the season demands the comfort of quilts, blankets, and heat blowers, you must rise up and face it head-on to remain protected. A routine brisk walk can help you stay a step ahead of the freezing cold. Walking regularly provides numerous health benefits and one of them is to keep your body warm in the winter season. However, there are some measures that must be taken into consideration.

Health Tips: How brisk walk helps keep your body warm?

It is not a secret that walking regularly keeps you fit as a fiddle. Moreover, there are different types of walking that have diverse impacts. One such type of walking is a brisk walk. According to several trainers, brisk walking is one of the best ways through which you can lose weight radically. In a brisk walk, you take short steps in quick succession to maintain a particular pace. You can say that it is an activity that stands in the middle of walking and jogging.

Apart from several other health benefits, brisk walking helps keep your body warm. When you walk quickly with shorter steps for longer durations, your heart pumps blood throughout your body rapidly. Consequently, blood circulation increases in several parts of your body. With the increase in blood circulation, the body produces a tremendous amount of heat as well.

The dos and don’ts regarding walking in Winter

While walking outdoors may not be possible every time during winter, it is advised that you do so indoors. When you do a brisk walk, your body exerts a lot of heat which causes sweating as well. If you continue this activity for around half an hour you may get drenched in your own sweat. In such a situation, you must not be outdoors facing chilly winds. Such exposure can make you fall sick.

Apart from that, you must also be mindful of the pollution levels that tend to increase in Winter. Thus, you must limit your outdoor activities as much as possible. Walking quickly in polluted environments can affect your lungs adversely.

Alternatively, you must also keep your number of steps and pace in check. A minimum of 10000 steps daily is recommended to remain protected in Winter. Moreover, your pace must be maintained with 100 steps per minute. Going overboard will make you tired quickly and you won’t be able to achieve your target.
