Spiritual Leader Sadhguru Undergoes Brain Surgery, Makes Strong Recovery

Renowned spiritual leader and founder of Isha Foundation, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, recently underwent an emergency brain surgery at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi. This came after experiencing severe headaches persisting for four weeks, leading to a critical medical situation.

Headache Leads to Emergency Surgery

For the past four weeks, Sadhguru had been experiencing severe headaches, which he initially disregarded in order to maintain his busy schedule. However, the pain intensified significantly by March 15th, prompting him to contact Dr. Vinit Suri, a senior neurologist at the Apollo hospital. Dr. Suri, recognizing the seriousness of the situation, suspected “something sinister” was happening.

Rapid Deterioration and Critical Surgery

Sadhguru’s condition worsened rapidly on March 17th. The headaches became unbearable, and he started experiencing recurrent vomiting. Upon admission to the hospital, a CT scan revealed a critical situation – a massive brain swelling along with bleeding, causing a life-threatening shift of the brain to one side.

A team of doctors, led by Dr. Vinit Suri, Dr. Pranav Kumar, Dr. Sudheer Tyagi, and Dr. S Chatterjee, sprang into action. Within hours of admission, they performed emergency brain surgery to relieve the bleeding and swelling in the skull.

Remarkable Recovery

Thankfully, the surgery was successful. Sadhguru was gradually weaned off the ventilator and has shown remarkable progress since then. His vital signs, brain function, and overall health have returned to normal levels. Dr. Suri attributes this exceptional recovery to a combination of medical intervention and Sadhguru’s own inherent healing abilities.
