Sadhguru Tips

Sadhguru Tips: Different cultures fast for different occasions. In the Hindu culture, there are many festivals where one undergoes fasting for a short period, including Ekadashi. Sadhguru talks about the benefits of fasting and how it helps the body function better.

Sadhguru on fasting

For Ekadashi, one fast from morning to night and has one meal at the end of the day. Sadhguru says that, daily, each one of your meals should have an 8-hour gap in between. If one cannot do 8 hours, a minimum of 5 hours is recommended. As a result, one should feel very hungry for their next meal. This is said to help the brain function better. Moreover, when we feed our bodies food before feeling hungry, we make our bodies lethargic. However, being extremely hungry by the time we eat also helps us enjoy the food more.

Neem and Turmeric

To regulate the inertia levels in our bodies, Sadhguru recommends a combination of neem, turmeric and a little bit of honey water. This concoction helps the cellular structure of the body and helps it absorb energy better. This enhances the effect of Sadhanas and helps you be flexible. Not only that, it keeps the stomach clean and helps prevent the generation of cancerous cells.

Ekadashi

Fasting for 8 hours between meals can fight the cancerous cells. However, for the ones who cannot do that, Ekadashi can be followed which is observed only once a year but for 24 hours. This is highly useful for the body to function better
