Sadhguru Tips: The popular spiritual guru Jaggi Vasudev is widely acclaimed as a wise man. He possesses the ability to streamline philosophical and psychological solutions to almost any question thrown at him. Some time ago, during an intense interview with Anupam Kher, Jaggi catered to Kher’s inner child. Kher asked several questions to the yogi such as whether he ever gets angry or about his opinion on corruption. Find out how the wise yogi responded to Anupam Kher during this interesting conversation.

Sadhguru Tips: Jaggi Vasudev’s intriguing conversation with Anupam Kher

Sadhguru draws his unwavering intellect from his spiritual experiences and yogic practices. He is an avid reader and his love for literature can be traced back to his graduation in literature. Jaggi Vasudev has also written several books, some of which have even been New York Times Best Sellers. Moreover, due to his interesting take on possibly every topic, he has also become a research magnet for writers. During his rendezvous with Anupam Kher, Jaggi attempted to answer some of his most relevant questions pertaining to life. Here are some of the amazing responses by the yogi.

Jaggi Vasudev on philosophical dilemmas

One of the most asked questions by theists and atheists alike is about the existence of God or the supreme being. Anupam Kher launched the question at Sadhguru, “Do you believe in God?” The yogi very wisely distinguished between belief and God at first. He said, “…you can believe in anything you want… you can make your own God and believe. Whatever you can relate to you can believe in it.” Kher probed even further on the question and asked, “Why do we still fight on mandir-masjid issues?” Sadhguru replied, “In this world, the fight is never between good and evil as people project it to be. All the fight in the world is between one man’s belief versus another man’s belief. If you saw ‘I really do not know’ you wouldn’t fight with anybody.”

Jaggi Vasudev on sociological and political dilemmas

Later in the interview, Kher threw some political and sociological questions at Sadhguru. He asked whether he ever gets angry. The yogi replied, “I haven’t given anyone the privilege of making me feel angry, happy, sad, or miserable. If someone needs to be shouted upon, I give them what they need… your actions should be appropriate to the situation in which you exist.”

When asked about corruption in the country, Jaggi replied that it is rooted in the very fabric of the country. He added that to improve the economic structure of the country is to ensure that not a single child goes to bed hungry. What we need is a change in our conduct. This is not a nation that can be changed by policies. To bring about change, a movement must be initiated. Unless people connect to it on an emotional level, things will not change.
