Vastu Tips: One can express their devotion to the god by placing their idols in homes and singing prayers for them. During festival times or any other auspicious occasions, these idols are ornamented to enhance the positive energy of the idol. As a result, the idol of God needs to be treated according to the Vastu Shastra rules that will bless the house and the lives of everyone in it. However, there are a few mistakes that people often make while placing idols of gods in the house. Here are a few common mistakes to avoid.

Living room

In the front or living room, it is often considered good to keep a photo of god. However, according to Vastu experts, it is wrong to keep photos of god in the front room or living room. This should be kept in their designated puja room.

No same two photos

There should not be two photos of the same good places around the house. This is considered to be highly inauspicious and can cause problems in the house. However, it is okay to have two different pictures of the same god around the house.

Idol on desk

Often, people keep an idol of god on the office desk or study table to get God’s blessings in the work they are doing. However, it is considered wrong. The idols of gods cannot be placed anywhere to seek their blessings, they must be kept in the most auspicious place of the house, the puja room.

Ma Kaali

The Kaali Ma goddess image or idol should not be kept in the house. It is considered to be disrespectful to Kaali Ma and is likely to bring problems into your life.

Puja room

The puja room is the most auspicious place in the house and it should be kept in the best condition compared to other rooms in the house. There should be no clutter or mess and should be kept looking aesthetic
