It is important to choose your land carefully. It is better to use square or rectangular land. All four sides of the property should have space left when the building is erected.
This means that there should be more open space to the north and east and less to the south and west.
Plots with a northeast slope are considered fortunate.
In a multi-storey building, the first floor’s height should be less than the last floor’s height, per Vastu Shastra.
It is fortunate if the building’s main entrance faces north or east.
