The Kitchen should always be in the southeast corner of the house. Along with this, the utensils should be on the southeast part of the kitchen. Not only this, the sink should preferably be in the northwest of the kitchen while the cooking should be done in the east direction.

Waste and dustbin

According to Vastu Shastra, a dustbin should not be placed in the Kitchen. This is said to invoke negative energy in the kitchen. Apart from this, broken utensils should not be kept in the kitchen as it is said to displease goddess Laxmi who may bring about bad luck and bad fortune to the family.
