A painful incident has come to light from Nashik, Maharashtra. After colliding with a truck here, a bus caught fire, in which 11 people died due to scorching. The dead included 10 adults and a child. The accident happened on the Nashik-Aurangabad road in this bus going towards Pune.
The accident has been confirmed by the Nashik Police. Nashik Police said that the bodies and injured people have been taken to the hospital.
At the same time, news agency PTI quoted officials as saying that the incident happened around 5 am when the bus caught fire on Aurangabad Road in Nashik after colliding with a truck.
It is seen in the video that a big ball of fire is being formed after the bus caught fire. Fire officials were trying to douse the fire.
An eyewitness told that the incident happened near my house. After the incident, the bus caught fire and people got burnt. We looked but couldn’t do anything. The fire department and police came later.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each to the next of kin of those killed in this unfortunate incident. He has also ordered an inquiry into the incident.
