4 students booked for creating ruckus at journalism institute in Bhopal

Students booked: Four students of Makhanlal Chaturvedi University at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh were booked on Monday for causing ruckus on the campus. The action was taken after a student made a derogatory remark about a girl student.

According to reports, two groups of students at a journalism institute Bhopal clashed after a girl was allegedly teased by one of the students. The girl alleged that a boy made lewd comments and teased her. A clash broke out between two groups of students when the girl’s friends intervened,. Four students were booked on assault charges.

Outsiders involved

It was reported that some outsiders who are not students at the university were also involved in the fight.

On getting the news about the ruckus on campus, the police reached the spot and pacified the two groups of stuents. A case under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 294 ( any obscene act in any public place) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered against four students.

The girl alleged that the student abused her when she had gone out for tea.

Further investigation was underway till the filing of this report.
