5G Launch in India: With 5G now being launched in India, many new benefits associated with it are soon going to impact in many ways. A target was unveiled by PM Modi that by 2024–2025, India’s economy to be worth $5 trillion. By 2035, the cumulative economic impact of 5G is predicted to be $1 trillion, playing a significant part in that. Between 2025 and 2040, according to experts, 5G could increase the nation’s GDP by $150 billion.

India has over 117 crore users, making it the second-largest telecom market in the world after China. The establishment of a connected ecosystem will make it possible to provide better services for smart cities, electric transportation, and other areas. 5G will also benefit the 98 percent of Indians who already access telecommunications through smartphones.

Impact of 5G in our daily life:

The highest peak download speed among other Indian carriers, which also saw excellent download speeds, was attained by Vodafone Idea during its 5G trials in Pune earlier this year, reaching 5.92Gbps.

  • On 5G, a three-hour movie can be downloaded in 1-2 seconds in HD quality. Right now, 4G would require 10 to 15 minutes.
  • There should ideally be no delay at all while streaming content from OTT services or YouTube.
  • Call interruptions ought to be a thing of the past.
  • Increased connectivity will result in significantly less lag during video calls. It is anticipated that video calls would be of substantially higher quality.
