8th Pay Commission to Hold Stakeholder Meetings in Lucknow in June

Stakeholders from outside Uttar Pradesh have been advised not to seek appointments during the Lucknow visit.

The 8th Central Pay Commission will visit Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on June 22 and 23, 2026, to interact with Central Government organisations, institutions, unions, and associations regarding matters linked to the commission’s work.

According to an official notice issued by the commission, interested stakeholders seeking appointments for interaction during the Lucknow visit have been asked to submit their requests before June 10, 2026.

8th Pay Commission: Appointment Requests to Be Submitted Online

Officials stated that stakeholders must apply through the designated online portal and include the unique memo ID generated after submission of their memorandum on the commission’s official website.

The venue details and meeting schedule for the interactions will be communicated separately at a later stage.

Meetings Planned in Other States as Well

The commission clarified that separate meetings will also be organized in other states and Union Territories in the future. Stakeholders from outside Uttar Pradesh have been advised not to seek appointments during the Lucknow visit.

The Eighth Pay Commission is expected to examine matters related to salaries, allowances, pensions, and service conditions of Central Government employees and pensioners.

Significant Interest Among Employees and Unions

Pay commissions generally attract widespread attention among government employees, pensioners, and staff associations because their recommendations can influence salary structures and financial benefits across various government departments.

Employee unions and associations are expected to present their demands and suggestions during the consultation process with the commission.
