AAP: The Congress replied by seeking the regularisation of all contractual employees working for the Delhi government a day after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced its "Kejriwal assurances," which included the regularisation of contractual staff.
All contract workers employed by the municipal corporation will receive regular jobs, according to AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, if the AAP wins the upcoming local body elections.

What do officials claim?
"Over 55,000 contractual workers of the Delhi government are still awaiting the regularisation of their jobs as promised by Arvind Kejriwal. There are teachers, bus drivers, conductors, Delhi Jal Board employees, and many other workers who are waiting for Kejriwal to fulfil his promise," according to Chaudhary Anil Kumar, head of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC).
Thousands of contract employees of the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) are still awaiting confirmation that they would become regular employees. The contracts of many of these workers have been cancelled, though, and they routinely demonstrate against the Delhi administration.

"Arvind Kejriwal will make a decade's worth of false promises..."
"Arvind Kejriwal will make a decade's worth of false promises during the course of the next two years. Instead of having our jobs regularised, our contracts were cancelled and we were ejected. We are currently opposing Kejriwal on all platforms available," said a member of the union contractual employees of DTC Manoj Sharma.
