AAP MLAs waiting for BJP delegation to visit Rouse Avenue School to explain the Kejriwal Model of Education to them: Atishi

NEW DELHI: Several AAP MLAs have been waiting at a government’s school at Rouse Avenue in anticipation of the Gujarat BJP’s delegation to arrive. Notably, an AAP delegation led by Senior Leader and MLA Ms Atishi and comprising of MLA Kuldeep Kumar, MLA Gulab Singh & MLA Rituraj Jha was present at Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, Rouse Avenue today to explain Delhi’s education model to the BJP delegation which arrived from Gujarat yesterday to take a page out of the Kejriwal Model. Talking about the development, AAP National Convenor and Delhi CMArvind Kejriwal tweeted, “Many senior members of Gujarat BJP have come to Delhi to visit schools and Mohalla Clinics; I’m hoping they take lessons from Delhi’s outstanding educational and healthcare systems and implement them in Gujarat; India will only progress once we all learn from each other.”

MLA Ms Atishi said, “Eagerly waiting for the BJP delegation to arrive at our government schools; we want to give them an insight into how to transform & run world-class schools. AAP MLAs waiting for the BJP delegation to visit Rouse Avenue School since 12:30 PM today and explain the Kejriwal Model of Education to them. We wanted to present a complete picture of the educational revolution brought by the Kejriwal Government in Delhi to the BJP Gujarat Delegation so they could learn and implement changes. Students study on taat-patti in world-class schools of Gujarat, the BJP delegation should come here and see what an actual world-class school looks like. Had picked Rouse Avenue Government School in front of BJP Headquarters for the visit so that the BJP delegation couldn’t evade saying they don’t know where the school is, but they haven’t come here. This same school used to run in a tin-shed seven years back but now has been transformed into a state-of-the-art school by AAP; parents all over Delhi want to send their children to government schools now.

Ms Atishi said, “We wanted to present a complete picture of the educational revolution brought by the Kejriwal Government in Delhi to the BJP delegation. We are well-aware of the pitiable condition of government schools in Gujarat. This also got covered as a frontpage news in the leading newspapers of Gujarat. The students have no choice but to study on Taat-patti in those schools which are categorized as world-class smart schools by the Gujarat Government. This school in which we are present today, it was run in a tin shed seven years ago and there was no cleanliness. If the BJP delegation shows up today, we will describe the entire journey of transforming dilapidated schools into actual world-class schools.”

She continued, “We are waiting for the arrival of the BJP delegation. As you can see, we have made proper arrangements in this school to welcome them. There is a huge board at the entrance gate and refreshments are also ready. We have put an exhibition of projects made by the students. We want the BJP delegation to visit this school. This will give them an insight into how to transform schools. This particular school situated on Rouse Avenue was being run in a tin shed seven years ago. It was in a dilapidated condition. There was a pile of garbage in front of the school. There were no proper sitting arrangements for the students. But now, it is a world-class school. Parents across entire Delhi want their children to study here. Students study on taat-patti in world-class schools of Gujarat, the BJP delegation should come here and see what an actual world-class school looks like.”

She concluded, “The BJP is quite active on social media. We expect that they must have received our invite because their party members keep responding to our tweets regularly. We have sent this invite through Twitter and television media. We have kept their comfort in mind while selecting the school as this school is adjacent to the BJP national headquarters. They should not have any trouble in locating this school. We are unaware of any development regarding them visiting any other schools. Yesterday, they went to a mohalla clinic late evening but the doctors, patients and officials of the health department left by the time they arrived. We want them to visit a school where we are also available so that we can give them an insight into the journey of transformation of government schools and hospitals in Delhi.”

AAP MLAs waiting for BJP leaders to arrive and witness Delhi’s story of change

An AAP delegation led by Senior Leader and MLA Ms Atishi and comprising of MLA Kuldeep Kumar, MLA Gulab Singh & MLA Rituraj Jha was present at the Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, Rouse Avenue today to explain Delhi’s education model to the BJP delegation which arrived from Gujarat yesterday. They had invited them to visit the government schools run by the Kejriwal Government. The AAP MLAs were of the opinion that as the BJP delegation visited a mohalla clinic yesterday without someone to receive them, they failed to understand the working of the clinic. Hence, AAP sent another invite to the BJP delegation this morning to visit the government schools in Delhi in their presence so that they could understand how the Delhi Government has transformed the schools of the capital.

The AAP delegation had invited them to visit the school around 12:30pm and expected them to arrive on time because the school was adjacent to the BJP national headquarters. They chose this school so that the BJP delegation would be able to locate it comfortably without facing any trouble. Proper arrangements were made to show the BJP delegation around. The students and teachers of the Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya prepared a rangoli to welcome them and the AAP delegation was ready to present bouquets to the BJP delegation. They also put the projects and crafts prepared by the students for the interest of the BJP delegation.
