India has demonstrated its expanding strategic capabilities once again by successfully test-firing the Agni-5 (A5) ballistic missile on October 21, 2021. The Ministry of Defence said it validated all operational and technical parameters during a trial undertaken by the Strategic Forces Command (SFC), thereby establishing India’s position as a formidable player in the global defence technology sphere.
An Important Turn in Defence Technology
The trial confirmed not only the reliability of India’s missile, but also suggests India’s willingness to assertively deploy high-technology defence systems if so required.
