India is celebrating Akshaya Tritiya, a very auspicious day in the Hindu calendar, with much enthusiasm. On this momentous day, greetings have been sent by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Significance of Akshaya Tritiya
There are several reasons to celebrate Akshaya Tritiya. First of all, it is the birth anniversary of Lord Parasurama, who is Lord Vishnu's sixth incarnation. Furthermore, in Hindu mythology it is said to be the day that the Treta Yuga started. This day is also linked with the birthday of the goddess of food and nutrition, Annapurna.
Devotees Converge in Ayodhya
Renowned for its spiritual significance, Ayodhya is seeing a sizable gathering of devotees in honour of Akshaya Tritiya. As a sign of their strong faith, many have dipped themselves in the Saryu River's purifying waters.
PM Modi's Greetings
On Akshaya Tritiya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent heartfelt greetings to every citizen. He said, "Warm wishes to all the families of the country on Akshaya Tritiya. I hope that this auspicious occasion that inspires charity brings new energy and enthusiasm in the lives of all of you."
CM Yogi's Participation
As a sign of respect and commitment, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took part in the Rudra Abhishek Puja at the Gorakhnath Temple. He sent out his best wishes and prayed for everyone's success and well-being on social media.
