Al Qaeda threatens to blow up Indira Gandhi International Airport with a bomb. Delhi Police received an email on Saturday evening in the name of Al Qaeda, in which it has been threatened to blow up IGI airport with a bomb in the next few days, security at the airport has been tightened as soon as the threat is received.

According to news agency ANI, the mail received on Saturday evening said that Karanbir Suri alias Mohammad Jalal and his wife Shaili Shara alias Hasina are coming to India from Singapore on Sunday. They are planning to plant a bomb at the airport in the next one to three days. Security agencies were alerted after receiving the threat, and security has been tightened.

On enquiry, the DIG said that earlier also the threat message with similar names and similar details had been received. According to him, earlier, Karanbir and Shailee had been described as the kingpins of ISIS, in it it was also written that both are coming and will plot a bomb blast at the airport in one to three days.

Earlier on April 18, sensation spread due to the threat to blow up a plane at Delhi airport. On a flight coming from Bangalore to Delhi, a passenger had found a slip in the washroom, in which it was written that there was a bomb in the plane and it was detonated as soon as it reached Delhi airport.
