Andhra Pradesh: NIA Conducts Raids at 23 Places, PFA Members Being Interrogated

Andhra Pradesh: On Sunday, agents from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted many raids in various districts in Andhra Pradesh. PFI members have been detained and are being questioned in relation to inciting violence and engaging in unlawful activity.
In the districts of Nizamabad, Kurnool, Guntur, and Nellore, up to 23 NIA teams conducted simultaneous searches.

What does sources claim?

Sources claim that the operations are connected to information about nearby terrorist activities.
During these searches, authorities have already detained PFI district convener Shadullah, as well as members Mohammad Imran and Mohammad Abdul Mobin, for questioning. They are being interrogated for encouraging violent behaviour and engaging in unlawful training under the pretence of teaching karate.

While NIA searches were taking place in Nandyal and Kurnool, a number of residents demonstrated against the arrival of officials and chanted for them to leave.

VIOLENCE IN NELLORE

In the Khaja Nagar neighbourhood of Buchireddypalem town in the Nellore district, the NIA has been searching since the break of day. Authorities are looking through the home of Ilyaz, who has been missing for the past three months.

He supposedly has ties to terrorism and has a tiffin business in Khaja Nagar. Ilyaz’s family members are currently being questioned by officials.
