After his deportation from the U.S., the gangster on the run, Anmol Bishnoi, who is a prime accused in the politically motivated murder of Baba Siddique is reported to be getting into Delhi today. Following his landing, the NIA and Mumbai police, who are among the several agencies involved in the case, will take him in immediate custody and conduct the rest of the legal procedures.

First, investigators point out that the gang leader promised conspirators who killed him money, a flat, and a vehicle. He has been accused of playing the role of both providing the logistics and issuing the directives from abroad. Besides that, he is still on the wanted list in cases like the murder of Sidhu Moosewala and the shooting at Salman Khan’s residence.

Zeeshan Siddique, Baba Siddique’s son, has appealed that Anmol be thoroughly interrogated, and he expressed his belief that authorities must “grill him to find out who the real mastermind is.” According to him, only through a full interrogation will it come to light if it was a hired killing or a criminal plot. The real answer, he says, should come from the facts — leaving it for the public to decide when the information is disclosed.
